Employability & Confidence

Fluid Motion have delivered a number of special projects in schools and colleges.

1 in 10

1 in 10 was a mental health project working in collaboration with King Richard School in Portsmouth. The aim was to highlight the statistic that 1 in 10 children and young people may experience a mental health problem and that it is ok to talk about it. Fluid Motion worked with a group of students from every year group to create a fifteen-minute performance based around a mental health theme that helped raise awareness of the issue. The performances were showcased to a public audience at King Richard School and the money raised was given to local mental health charity the Good Mental Health Cooperative.

Great British Arts Project

Fluid Motion worked with Year five children at Townhill Junior School in Southampton on a project that explored British values. Our practitioners used physical theatre and the artistic influences of Matthew Bourne to create a ten-minute performance that responded to the themes of isolation, mutual respect and tolerance. The group then performed their piece along with other local primary schools at an afternoon tea party at Bitterne Park School. The project was funded by Artswork.
