ABOUT US

We make theatre about lived experiences of mental health. And we do this anywhere and for everyone.

Theatre challenges and comforts us in equal measure. It enables us to express unspoken emotions by shaping and holding in front of our eyes something we feel internally. It helps us make sense of the world, and it guides us to a better place.

Fluid Motion does this through a creative engagement and touring programme, built around one overarching theme connected to mental health, culminating in the
All in the Mind Festival

To achieve this, we commission, make and perform theatre. We collaborate creatively with diverse communities, artists, educators and health care professionals and use lived experiences as inspiration.

In doing so we test and facilitate new creative models of mental health support to be shared widely and freely.

SUPPORT US

We’re a not for profit organisation and therefore receive no regular funding for any work that we do.

Each year we engage with approximately 22,000 people and rely on generous support from individuals in order to continue raising awareness of mental health and challenging stigma.

Fluid Motion receives every penny that you donate and you can sign up for Gift Aid so that we can claim an extra 25p back for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you.

Donate now and help us normalise conversations around mental health.

Thank you very much.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to operate.

Volunteers have been involved at every level of our work since we first started back in 2010. Whatever time you can give and whatever your interests, we’ll find a job to suit you, whether it's performing, sitting on the board of directors or taking photographs at events.

By volunteering with us you are helping to raise awareness of mental health issues and challenging stigma.

Many of our volunteers have a personal interest in mental health and bring with them their knowledge and experience, which is invaluable.

We welcome people from all backgrounds particularly those who have experience of using mental health services.

Get in touch (info@fluidmotiontheatre.com) if you’d like to have an informal chat about volunteering opportunities, or fill out this form.
